Wicked Game
Chris Isaak
This famous song is written in the Key of B Dorian, which is something we'll learn about a little later on.
An acoustic guitar holds down this chord progression the entire song, through verse and chorus, without alterations!
The lead guitar here is quite memorable, for it's distinctive whammy bar usage. I've notated it here with bends, so that anyone can play along.
We also have our first look here at grace notes in bar 7 - these are rapid notes that fall before the beat.
We will take a look at the first 16 bars here, but it continues in similar fashion throughout the song.
Get comfortable with those chords!
We'll be taking another look at this progression when we're ready to learn about the Dorian Mode.
